Lighter Fuel

Price: £2.99
Starting with the least expensive and least glamorous option, we have lighter fuel. This may not seem special, but every cigar smoker is likely to need it, so buying them a few canisters is extremely useful. Most cigar smokers use a butane lighter, so having the ability to refill it is obviously practical. There are plenty of options on the market, ranging from budget-friendly Clipper fuel to overpriced S.T. Dupont fuel. However, I recommend something more reasonable: Newport fuel. It costs slightly more than cheap entry-level fuel but is significantly better quality with virtually no impurities. The lack of impurities means it’s less likely to cause problems with lighters.
It may seem odd to buy lighter fuel for someone for Christmas, but cigar smokers are generally an odd bunch anyway, so this will probably go down well.
Cigar Glue

Price: £12.99
Now onto a more serious item you can buy for your cigar-smoking loved ones: cigar glue. Cigar glue is incredibly useful because it helps repair damaged cigars. Trust me, your cigar-smoking loved one has damaged cigars. In many cases, damaged cigars are perfectly fine to smoke, but sometimes the damage is too extensive, and without a reasonable repair, the cigar will be unsmokable. This is where something like cigar glue becomes invaluable.
There are plenty of options on the market, but most of them are messy and require a lot of fiddling to use properly. For this reason, we only recommend one brand: Ciglue. This cigar glue is made entirely with natural ingredients, and its design is intuitive and effective. With a little twist, the glue can be applied to the damaged area of your cigars, and once it dries, you’re left with a very smokable cigar.
This is probably one of the most useful gifts you can buy for your cigar-smoking loved ones.
Cigar Books

Price: £19.99
For many cigar smokers, having something to read whilst enjoying a cigar completes the experience. This is why a good cigar book will probably go down really well, and the book we recommend is Around the World in 80 Cigars by Nick Hammond.
The book is a collection of stories from Hammond’s 25 years as a roving reporter, featuring fascinating adventures from around the globe. From walking through a Bosnian minefield to diving with Great White Sharks, Hammond shares his experiences with humor and insight, all while highlighting cigars from every corner of the world.
Beautifully presented with original illustrations and a silk ribbon bookmark, it’s a great addition to any cigar smoker’s collection and an ideal gift for the holidays.
Cigar Stand

Price £43.99
Aside from a good lighter, a cigar stand is something I simply cannot do without. It’s the one accessory I won’t leave home without, which is why I highly recommend it as a potential gift. There are plenty of great options available that are less expensive than the one we recommend here. However, personally, I think the cigar stand from Les Fines Lames is one of the best on the market.
Not only does it come in a sleek leather pouch, but the stand is also made of solid metal, has a satisfying weight to it, and can comfortably fit in virtually any pocket. Additionally, Les Fines Lames has established itself as a high-end brand in the cigar industry, known for its innovative designs and exceptional quality. They’re not cheap, but they make incredible products.
Cigar Case

Price: £96.99
Finally, we have the most expensive option as a last-minute gift for your cigar-smoking friend or loved one: a cigar case. If you’re buying cigars, it makes sense to also get something to store them in, and a good cigar case is the perfect solution. While there are plenty of options on the market, we recommend the VSB London two-finger cigar case.
This case is made with top-grain leather, a much higher grade than what’s used in many other products. It’s firm enough to withstand a reasonable amount of pressure, keeping the cigars inside safe. The cases are available in a range of colors, with options for holding either two or three cigars. While it leans into the high-end premium category, it works equally well as a standalone gift or as an accessory alongside cigars.
Of course, you could go all out and buy everything on this list along with some cigars, which would certainly make an impression. Then again, it might be smarter to see what they get you first before you start opening up those purse strings!
