The Cigar Lounges of Bangkok – Part 2
On a trip to Thailand a while ago, Inspector X had the opportunity to check out the cigar scene in Phuket and visit the three lounges there, but Inspector X also checked out a few places to buy and smoke cigars in the capitol of Thailand, Bangkok.

Cohiba Atmosphere
Cohiba Atmosphere is a concept from Habanos and the highest tier in their pyramid. It starts with Habanos Points, small shops that carry a limited amount of Cuban cigars. One step up from that is the Habanos Specialist, these shops have to meet certain standards in knowledge, in their offerings of cigars and have to have a walk-in humidor for example. If that’s not enough for you, then there is the step to La Casa del Habano, a shop specialized in Cuban cigars only, cigars from other countries are not allowed to be sold there. In exchange, these shops get supplied first and there are LCDH exclusive cigars. Those are the retail concepts of Habanos. When it comes to hospitality, Habanos also has three tiers, Habanos Terrace with al-fresco smoking options, Habanos Lounge where you can smoke indoors or the top of the line, a Cohiba Atmosphere. A Cohiba Atmosphere offers the same quality of knowledge and range of cigars as a La Casa del Habano but with added service such as a full lounge and a kitchen. The Cohiba Atmosphere Bangkok does all that in in style, with a cigar bar that sports over 250 different Cuban cigars and over 300 bottles of whisky, of which the majority is also sold by the glass.
