We start off with the newest addition to the cigar lounges of Phnom Penh, Bertie. And if that name rings a bell, yes, it’s the sister lounge of Cigar Journal’s best cigar lounge winner Bertie in Hong Kong. Both outlets are operated by Cigraal, a Hong Kong based cigar distributor who also owns the Totem accessories brand and Confidenciaal cigars. This lounge was opened only in November of 2024 and Inspector X visited the lounge just a week over the opening party.
The interior has the same feel as Bertie’s in Hong Kong, with the beautiful French tiles, the dark green walls and details. I was impressed with the ventilation on the ground floor as even though with the relatively low ceilings, there wasn’t any issues with the air quality even though five of us lit up at the same time. Combined on the ground floor and the first floor, Bertie’s Phnom Penh has 40 seats. It’s a luxury cigar bar, with a great and affordable drink menu and plenty of choices in the well-stocked walk-in humidor. A must visit for cigar smokers traveling to Phnom Penh. The location is great too, near the river, near the night market, near all the happening bars.
Churchill’s Whisky & Cigar Bar
