LCDH Romeo y Julieta Cupidos Cigar Review

August 24, 2025 Usman Dawood 2 min read

Romeo y Julieta has been one of the most recognisable Cuban cigar brands since the 1800s. The Cupidos is their latest release for La Casa del Habano (LCDH) and Habanos Specialist stores. LCDH exclusives usually bring something different to the table, and this one arrives in a 5 5/6 x 55 figurado format with a secondary band to mark it out.

The factory name is Veronas, which ties back to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and fits neatly with the romantic theme the brand is built on. It is rolled totalmente a mano using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region and presented in decorated boxes of 20. The official launch took place in Germany at Bückeburg Castle.

In the video linked below we review the Cupidos to see how this cigar performs. I go through the presentation, construction, draw, burn, and the flavour profile as it develops across the thirds. Early notes show a soft floral sweetness with a touch of citrus, and the figurado shape adds to the overall smoking experience.

The Cupidos sits at a higher price point than many of the standard Romeo y Julieta offerings, but as an LCDH release it is positioned as something special. It is more widely available than some LCDH exclusives thanks to its presence in Habanos Specialist stores, which makes it easier to find while still maintaining that sense of exclusivity.
