Cohiba Behike BHK 58 Cigar Review: Can a $1000 Cigar Deliver?

October 29, 2025 Usman Dawood 2 min read

Cohiba Behike 58 is a seven inches cigar with a 58 ring gauge, making it the largest Behike cigar to date. In fact, it is one of the largest Cuban cigars ever produced by Habanos and, due to its vitola, my initial impressions were predominantly negative. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.

Behike cigars launched in 2010 with the 52, 54, and 56, positioned as Cohiba’s flagship line. Its signature is medio tiempo, the tiny top leaves that appear only on some plants. These leaves are thicker, stronger, and aged longer, giving extra depth and weight to the blend.

Behike 58 uses the Laguito No. 7 format, seven inches long with a fifty eight ring gauge. It launched at this year’s Festival del Habano and only appeared in mixed sample packs, not as singles. Pricing for this cigar ahs not yet been confirmed, however considering the fact that Cohiba Behike 56 cigars generally retail for around £600.00 in the UK, It’s fair to assume that the Behike 58 could arrive with a price point of around £750.00 or $1000.00.

Packaging and security have been stepped up. Ten count boxes remain, and both the main band and the foot band now carry revised hologram. NFC has also been integrated to help combat the counterfeits cigars. Unfortunately, Behike cigars are some of the most counterfeited cigars in the world mostly because of the high price they command in the market.

In our latest video we reviewed this Cohiba Behike 58 cigar and despite it’s brute sized vitola, the cigar was incredible. The construction was impeccable with a firm pack, a perfect draw and an even burn. The first puffs had a short savoury beat, then the profile moved quickly into sweet dark fruit with vanilla and cream. The flavour is dense without heaviness and the texture stays silky. For a cigar built like a blunt club, it performs with grace and elegance.
