Montecristo Elba 90th Anniversary Limited Edition 2025 Review

Cuban limited edition cigars generally come with a premium price tag, especially if it’s a global brand such as Montecristo. More recently, Habanos has started a subsection of limited editions and those are Premier cigars. In our latest video we review the Montecristo Elba Premier cigar.

This Montecristo Elba 90th Anniversary Limited Edition 2025 was launched in Madrid in October 2025, and the cigars handed out at the event were the Premier pack version. These cigars are supposedly the best of the pick from Cuba and due to this, they generally come with a much higher price tag.

The Montecristo Elba is also a milestone cigar because aside from being a limited edition cigar for 2025, it is also an anniversary edition cigar marking 90 years for the brand. The cigar is 5 and ¾ inches long with a ring gauge of 54, making it a reasonably generous sized cigar. This is unlike the previous 80th anniversary cigar, which was considerably larger in comparison.

What was immediately striking about this cigar was the presentation. Aside from the pretty bands and the box, the cigar itself was gorgeous with its glossy wrapper. Even throughout the smoking experience, the ash was a beautiful white in colour and the aroma from the cigar was incredible.

It may not come as much of a surprise, however our latest review of the Montecristo cigar was a positive one. Limited edition cigars have in the past left many disappointed, however it’s clear that Habanos is moving in the right direction with the Montecristo Elba.
