Cornelius & Anthony goes to Great Britain
Cornelius & Anthony goes to Great Britain. In the last few weeks, we have written about Cornelius & Anthony a few times. They must have had a great Intertabac trade show since they signed distribution deals in several countries.
We announced that Cornelius & Anthony is coming to Norway with Nordic Cigars. We also announced that they are coming to The Netherlands with Longfiller Company and now we can announce that starting late December or early January the brand will be available in the U.K. Details and prices will be revealed later by the distributor Boutique smokes.
Cornelius and Anthony
Cornelius and Anthony is quite a new brand, but the Bailey family has been in tobacco growing in Virginia for about 150 years. Current president Steven Bailey decided to venture out into cigars and named the brand after the first generation Bailey who started the family business Cornelius Bailey and his second name Anthony. Cornelius and Anthony was born. Cornelius is pictured on the boxes with the Cornelius blend, it’s not serial killer H.H. Holmes as some claim.

The Daddy Mac line is named after Steven’s father, Mac, who’s been called Daddy Mac by all the employees. The cigar is made with a Nicaraguan filler, Ecuador binder, and Brazilian wrapper. The Meridian is made with Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, a Nicaraguan binder, and a beautiful Rosado wrapper from Ecuador. The artwork on the Venganza isn’t just a machine gun, it’s a machine gun patented by the Bailey family. The cigar is all Nicaraguan except for the Ecuador wrapper.
Señor Esugars is the dog of the Bailey family, and the dog on the artwork is really señor Esugars. After three years of blending, testing, and tweaking Bailey settled for a Mexican San Andres wrapper, an American grown binder, and an all Nicaraguan blend of filler tobaccos. The fifth blend to be sold in the United Kingdom is the Connecticut Shade wrapped Aerial. An Ecuador Connecticut Shade wrapper over an American grown binder and filler from Nicaragua.
All five lines come in a 6×60 gordo, 6×50 toro, 5×52 robusto, and 5½x46 Corona Gorda. The cigars are expected to arrive in The Netherlands in six to ten weeks.
