Mombacho plans Casa Favelli for 2019
Mombacho has released a new blend, named after their factory in Granada, Nicaragua. The line is named Casa Favilli, said master blender and president Claudo Sgroi.
Casa Favilli is an old colonial mansion that got converted to a cigar factory and tourist location and is the only well known cigar factory in Nicaragua outside of Esteli. The factory is a historical monument and classified as such.
About the blend Sgroi said that he was looking for a Maduro blend for years but he couldn’t find the right Maduro leaf. Until he found this Maduro leaf, grown in Jalapa, grown from United States of America broadleaf seed. The filler and binder are Nicaraguan grown too, making the cigar a puro.
The Casa Favelli line is expected to be shipped early 2019 to Mombacho retailers all over the world. Initially there will be a 5×50 robusto, a 6×52 toro and a 5½x52 torpedo. The cigars are packed in 12 count boxes.
As soon as the cigars are released on specific markets, we will report back.
