New limited edition Les Fines Lames. We wrote about the gorgeous cigar knives from the French company Les Fines Lames before(1, 2). But there’s news. two limited editions have been released. And one of them is so limited, that it’s a unique item, one of one only.

The Red Rejon is made from Rejon. It’s a composite material with plant fibers encapsulated in tinted acrylic resin. That creates a unique three-dimensional texture and a unique look. Only one of these has been made, so it’s the ultimate limited edition. For €550 it’s yours.

Now if you want something a little less unique, and a little more affordable, then the Bulnesia limited edition might be something for you. The price for this knife is €429. And production stops at 100 pieces. And as always the knives come with their own number, to ensure it’s a limited edition. 

The handle of the cigar is made from Bulnesia Arborea aka verawood. That’s a Central American wood, exotic and known for its durability. Over time the wood will take a beautiful patina in different green shades. The process can be slowed down by keeping the knife away from exposure to light.

Indiegogo

Les Fines Lames is an idea from two French cigar enthusiasts. Pablo Rodet and Pierre Jourdan. Their design of the knife is specifically to cater to cigar smokers. To be able to produce the first batch, they looked for funding. Indiegogo, a crowdfunding website, is the answer to their question. The response is overwhelming. The cigar knives are now famous in the cigar industry.

The production takes place in France, in Bordeaux. With super high-quality metal that is almost impossible to dull. The knives come with different finishes. According to Jourdan, Les Fines Lames is planning to offer many limited editions. The duo has wild ideas. Ideas that are coming to fruition in the next years, with collaborations and different designs.
