Rumnac by Royal Danish Cigars

May 9, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

We are a cigar news outlet, but for once we make an exception. Today we write about liquor. But of course, cigar related liquor. But it’s still cigar related since it’s a liquor from Jan Vistisen, owner of Royal Danish Cigars.

Now it’s not unusual for cigar manufacturers to branch out into alcohol anymore. Recently we published about Debonaire rum and Ann-Eks rum being introduced in Germany. Cohiba and Martel once worked together for a Cohiba cognac. And Fuente had a limited edition calvados with an Opus X incorporated in the bottle. Most famous cigar maker turned liquor maker is probably Jonathan Drew with his John Drew Brands. And now Vistisen joins that group with his Rumnac.

Rumnac is a mix of Caribbean rum with quality cognac, and it’s the first in its kind. The blend is made with 70% rum, which has been aged for a minimum of five years and 30% V.S.O.P. Petit Champagne cognac. The cognac itself has seven gold medals. The alcohol percentage is 40% or 80 proof. The Rumnac comes in bottles of 500ml with a suggested retail price of €47,50 in Germany.
