New Trinidad releases
The Trinidad brand was born fifty years ago, first as Fidel Castro’s personal and private blend. Then it became the official diplomatic cigar of Cuba before being released as a regular production cigar to the cigar aficionados back in 1997.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand, Habanos released not one, not two, not three but five new vitolas. Two of the vitolas are limited editions, while the other three will be regular production cigars that will be added to the Trinidad line up.

The new regular production Trinidad cigars are the Media Luna ( 4 1/2 x50), the Toped ( 4 11/12×56), and the Esmeralda (5 7/10×53). The Trinidad Toped vitola has been used before as the Trinidad Edicion Limitada 2016 and is now available as a regular production due to popular demand.
With the three new regular production cigar, the total number of the line up almost doubles from four to seven vitolas. Next to the Media Luna, Toped and Esmeralda, the line up has the Fundadores, Coloniales, Reyes and Vigia.

All of the new cigars, including the figurado shaped Trinidad 50 Aniversario, will come with the flag tail. That’s a trademark for which the brand is famous. When the cigars will be available at the tobacco retailers such as La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialists worldwide has yet to be announced by Habanos and the local distributors.
