Henk Maori Haka now in Macedonia

Henk Maori Haka now in Macedonia. A few months ago, we published an article about the Henk Maori Limited Edition 2018. A cigar made at the A.J. Fernandez factory and blended by Didier V Hoevenaghel (La Preferia, La Ley, Nicarao, La Furia) to specific wishes of brand owner Heiko Poerz.

The Macedonian cigar importer, distributor, and retailer Farel Cigars have imported the cigars into Macedonia. The cigars are a Farel Cigars exclusive. Only sold at their own retail outlet. Farel Cigars is currently the only place outside of Germany where you can find the Henk Maori Limited Edition 2018 cigars.

Poerz isn’t satisfied with the cigars that are currently on the market. With his good friend Didier Houvenaghel, he approached A.J. Fernandez. The trio created the Henk Maori Haka line from vintage tobacco. Tobacco from the library of Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua. 

The name is a tribute to a Maori friend of Poerz. The skin color of his friend and the wrapper of the cigar shares the same shade. To further enhance the Maori feel, the cigar comes without a ring. Instead, a Maori inspired design is tattooed on the cigar.
