The cigars were released in the United States last year. In April, Royal Agio released the cigars in Germany and Switzerland. The Benelux got the cigars in May. Now French retailers and cigar aficionados get the chance to try the cigars locally too.

Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut
The Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut is made from some rare tobaccos. The filler contains a rarely used Pennsylvania 41 tobacco. The second component is Dominican Olor. Finally, some exclusive Brazilian Mata Norte tobacco is used for the filler. That tobacco comes from the Mata Norte region of Brazil. The binder is Sumatra but from a twenty-year-old crop. The tobacco was harvested in 1999. The wrapper is true Connecticut Shade, coming from the Connecticut River Valley.
The cigar comes in five different sizes. The Torpedo MK25 with a length of 6¼ and a ring of 52. The Gran Toro measures 6×52. There is a Rothschild Masivo from 5×55. Then there is a Corona measuring 5⅞x42. And finally, there is a Petit Robusto FT from 4¼x48. Only the Gran Toro and Rothschild Masivo will be released in France for now.
Royal Agio
Royal Agio was founded in 1904, in The Netherlands. The company is still a family-owned business. Their most famous brands are Balmoral and Meharis. Balmoral is available as a premium handmade cigar as well as machine made cigars. Meharis is all machine made.
The company has several cigar factories around the world. The premium cigars are made in San Pedro de MacorÃs, Dominican Republic. Royal Agio has four different lines with that name. This is a tribute to the city and the local Agio employees.
The Balmoral Añejo series are now available in three blends. The Balmoral Añejo XO, the Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro and the Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut.
