Camacho’s new Liberty Series released
Camacho’s new Liberty Series 2020 to be released next month. For the 18th year in a row, Camacho is releasing the Liberty Series limited edition to celebrate and honor the birth and history of the United States. Each year, the cigar gets released ahead of July 4th, America’s official birthday. Its annual release is highly anticipated by American patriots.
This year the cigar is a 6×60 box-pressed Gordo. The press release from Camacho mentions that the tobaccos used are four different primings from a single farm and vintage. But since tobaccos from three different countries are used, it is not very clear how that is possible. All the tobacco has been aged for four years though. From the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper to the Dominican and Honduran Corojo fillers, all tobacco is aged.
Packaging
As always, the cigars are packed in single coffins in a box. The boxes and coffins are decorated with all American images such as the emblem of the United States and the bald eagle. The bald eagle represents long life and great strength.
“To celebrate our 18th release that commemorates American heritage, we sought-out unique tobaccos to create a special blend that showcases the versatility that the Camacho brand has to offer. Comprised of original Corojo tobacco from Honduras and tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, this blend provides a complex and memorable smoking experience that we feel best honors this remarkable series,” says Edward Simon, Chief Marketing Officer of Oettinger Davidoff AG.
International release
Even though the Camacho Liberty celebrates the birthday of America and is stamped with American images, the cigar will also be available in select international markets. Camacho owner Davidoff has allocated a part of the production to be sold globally. The launch dates may vary depending on the country.
