Crux Cigars add a new vitola to the Epicure line

April 28, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Crux Cigars add a new vitola to the Epicure line. The most popular of all Crux lines sees the extension of the line with a Gordo. A brand new 6×60 for the lovers of big ring gauges. The blend remains all Nicaraguan filler and binder. The wrapper is still the same Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade as the other vitolas.

With the new addition, the line now consists of five different sizes. Ranging from a 5⅜x46 Corona Gorda to a 5×50 Robusto. And then a 6¼x52 Toro and a 5¾x75 Robusto Extra. And now that 6×60 Gordo. The cigars are made at the La Catedral del Tobacco. That’s the factory of the Plasencia family in Esteli, Nicaragua. The cigars come in boxes of 20, but the Gordo is also available in packs of 5.

Crux Cigars

Crux Cigars was launched in early 2014. Jeff Haugen and Joel Rogers founded the brand. The duo is or was Tobacco Grove in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Over the years the brand grew. The company is now based in Boca Raton, Florida. The Crux cigar brand is sold all over the United States. Yet as far as we know, the brand isn’t available on any international market.

Since the start of Crux Cigars in 2014, the brand is being produced at the Catedral del Tabaco in Esteli, Nicaragua. There are four core lines. Those are the Epicure and Epicure Maduro. Then there are the Guild and the Bull & Bear. Plus the annual Limitada of which only 1000 boxes are produced annually. Crux Cigars also offers exclusive cigars to interested retailers in the United States.
