New colors for Davidoff Double Blade Cutters. The new color cutters come a few days after the release of a new color scheme for the Zino Z line of accessories by Davidoff. The Davidoff Double Blade cutters are currently available in brushed anthracite and black. Next month, Davidoff is adding brown and rose gold.

Over the last decade, Davidoff has changed the line regularly. When the Swiss company released the Davidoff Nicaragua, a special Nicaragua branded cutter was made. There have been versions in plain steel color. Versions with buffalo leather. And a version with rose gold, a color that is now returning to the line-up.

The cutters are made in Germany. They can cut cigars up to ring 56. The blades are stainless steel. To help deliver a smooth cut, the cutter is equipped with a spring system. The MSRP is 280 USD.

Double guillotine

There are many different styles of cutters on the market. But the double guillotine is the most popular model. Every self-respecting accessory manufacturer has a double guillotine in its portfolio. This is of course excluding cigar knife manufacturers such as Les Fines Lames and Benchmade. But they cater to a small niche of the market. 

Other popular types of cutters are punches, single blade guillotines, and the V-Cut. The last one is an old fashioned way of cutting a cigar that is making a big comeback. The V-Cut is gaining popularity. And then there are the cigar cutting scissors. These almost surgical looking scissors aren’t that popular, but when used correctly deliver a clean and crisp cut.
