New Morphine from Black Label Trading Company

October 25, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

The seventh annual release of the line is coming soon. In three sizes, with an allocation for the European distributors of the Nicaraguan cigar brand.

The blend and sizes

For this year, the cigar comes with a dual wrapper. One from San Andres in Mexico, the other wrapper is Ecuadorian Maduro. The binder and filler are Nicaraguan. Dual wrapper usually means a cigar in barber-ole style, but that is not the case with the Black Label Trading Company Morphine 2020. In a press release, James Brown, the creator of the brand says “The dual wrappers work together to make this vintage very unique and one of the best so far.”

There are three sizes available. Those are a 4 ½ x50 Short Robusto, 7¼x42 Lancero, and a 5½x48 Corona Gorda. Black Label Trading Company made 550 boxes of each size at its Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. 450 of these boxes per size will go to American retailers. The rest is allocated for European markets. The majority will end up on the German market.

Black Label Trading Company

In 2013, James and Angela Brown started Black Label Trading Company and opened their Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. Just a year later, the annual limited edition Morphine was born. The brand got traction and has built a strong following of cigar enthusiast that believe in the boutique brand. In 2018 Black Label Trading Company made the jump across the pond. The German distributor Kleinlagel introduced the brand to the German cigar lovers and from there the brand expanded to more European markets.
