ADVentura Comes With a Limited Edition Lancero

ADVentura comes with a limited edition lancero. It is the second time that the brand releases the ADVentura The Conqueror Emperor’s Edition. And this year the number of cigars available is double the number of last year’s ADVentura The Conqueror Emperor’s Edition.

Blend tweak

The regular production cigars from the ADVentura The Conqueror line are all between ring gauges 50 and 60. To make it work in a 7×40 Lancero, Marcel Knobel and Henderson Ventura had to tweak the blend. Some of the ligero in the filler is replaced by viso. That creates a slightly different, milder flavor. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano 2000 with an Indonesian Sumatra binder. The filler comes from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. All the tobacco has been aging for a minimum of seven years.

Last year’s release was 250 boxes of 20 cigars. This year the production is double. 500 boxes, 10.000 cigars. Of the 500 boxes, 150 are reserved for retailers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and other international markets. The remaining 350 boxes are heading to American retailers.

ADVentura

ADVentura is a collaboration between Henderson Ventura and the Swiss tobacconist, sommelier, and coffee grower Marcel Knobel. With the help of Robert Caldwell, the duo created ADVentura cigars. At first just for the European market, but then slowly started introducing the brand on the American market as well. Most of the cigars come from Tabacalera William Ventura but ADVentura also works with the Turrent family for a Mexican made cigar. And with Mombacho for a Nicaraguan cigar.
