La Flor Dominicana Now in Malaysia

The 25-year-old brand from Litto Gomez is finally officially available in the South East Asian country of Malaysia. The country’s premier cigar importer and retailer, Cigar Malaysia brings in several lines of the highly-rated Dominican cigar brand.

La Flor Dominicana has a distribution channel in many international markets. But an official distributor in Malaysia is new for the company. With Cigar Malaysia they found a partner that runs several retail outlets in the country’s capital Kuala Lumpur. They also have a few affiliated lounges that carry cigars exclusively supplied by Cigar Malaysia except for the Cuban cigars that come through Pacific Cigar Company. Other tobacconists in Malaysia are supplied by the wholesale division of Cigar Malaysia as well.

The selection

Amongst the cigars that are available in Malaysia is the 1994 20th Anniversary Conga Robusto. This 5×52 Robusto is made with filler and binder from La Flor Dominicana’s farm La Canela. The wrapper is Mexican San Andres. From the Airbender lines, the 5×50 Matatan is available. In both the natural and the Maduro version. There are more robusto sizes available. The Cameroon Cabinet No.5 and the Colorado Oscuro No.3 for example.

The most notorious line from La Flor Dominicana, the Double Ligero is represented with the lancero. La Nox comes in a robusto size. The Ligero Cabinet Oscuro Natural is available in the L250 size and the regular Ligero line comes in the L-300 vitola. The last three cigars in the current line-up in Malaysia are the Litto Gomez Diez Cubana 2015 Robusto and the Reserva Especial El Jocko Natural. The one cigar that can’t be missed is the former Cigar Aficionado #1 cigar of the year, the La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull.
