Weekly news week 51 2020
Weekly news week 51 2020. And it was time for our monthly spotlight on charity again. This time we wrote about a Honduran charity, the CLE Foundation from Christian Eiroa. Part of the foundation’s fund goes to reforestation, which fits in with CLE’s ambition to be sustainable.
Reviews
The reviews of this week come from Nicaragua, both of them. The first cigar comes from an undisclosed factory. It’s the Royal Danish Double Ligero Short Robusto. The cigar features extra Ligero to make it the strongest cigar in the Royal Danish’s portfolio. Or should we say House of Nicaragua, since the name of the company changed? The second cigar review of the week comes from the NACSA factory. Raul Disla is the supervisor at NACSA and helps Dapper Cigar Company to make the Cubo Sumatra Toro.

News
A lot of news comes from Malaysia this week. The largest importer and distributor of New World cigars in the South East Asian country adds La Flor Dominicana to its portfolio. And the Kuala Lumpur based yet international The Cigar Group is hosting its annual Christmas Bash next week in Petaling Jaya. Another Malaysian importer and distributor, Trinidad Cigar Group, is the importer for Nestor Miranda. They organized a zoom session with Jason Wood, who revealed some of the Miami Cigar & Company plans.
Not from Asia, but inspired by an old Chinese legend about dragons chasing a flaming pearl is the new, one of a kind, Xikar cutter. The cutter is a collaboration between the jewelry company Jacob & Co and Quality Importers who own Xikar. And it’s an acquired taste. Mavros Cigars is a new brand from Mexico, ready to launch its first line soon. And also new are two factories. One in the Dominican Republic for Hostos Fernández Quesada with the name Tabacalera La Isla. The other one in Esteli, Nicaragua with the name Rojas Cigar Factory. This is the new factory for Noel Rojas. This was the Weekly news week 51 2020.
