Protocol Announces Pool Party Cigar
Protocol announces Pool Party cigar. The second instalment of the annual Pool Party is the reason for people at Protocol to create a new small batch with the name PPPY2, which stands for Protocol Pool Party Year 2. But here’s the catch, the only way to get these cigars is to attend the pool party on Saturday, July 17th in Pennsylvania.
The cigar
As with all other Protocol Cigars, the PPPY2 is hailing from Nicaragua. From Tabacalera La Zona, the factory of Erik Espinosa. It is the first-ever Barberpole from Protocol. A 6×52 cigar with a rabito on the head, a small tail. The wrappers are Mexican San Andres Maduro and Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade. The cigars come in 10-count paper bundles and only 250 bundles are available.
Juan Cancel, co-founder & co-owner of Protocol says “We are always looking to do interesting things with our limited releases. We were always curious about doing a barber pole but didn’t want to do anything too gimmicky when it came to the actual cigar. However, for a cigar that will be given to those attending our Year 2 Pool Party a barber pole cigar seems perfect! What’s even more exciting is the fact we are using the wrappers of the Themis and Probable Cause to make a really cool and unique cigar only available to those attending this special event!!!”
Protocol Pool Party
On Saturday, July 17th, the Protocol Pool Party takes place in Mt. Bethe, PA at the Chelsea Sun Inn. It is the second Protocol Pool Party. It takes place in an Olympic size outdoor pool, but there is also a hot tub. Protocol Cigars takes care of a DJ and a live band. The whole event is compliant with the Pennsylvania State Covid Rules and Regulations. Protocol Cigars has implemented several levels of protection to all attendees as they did last year.
“We again wanted to do something special for our supporters, especially since everyone has been locked at home for all of 2020. The demand to attend and numbers have grown exponentially for this event and needed to move to a bigger venue from last year’s venue. We have again implemented safety precautions to ensure everyone’s well-being. The health of our supporters is of the utmost importance to us. With that said everyone will be safe and everyone will have a fantastic time!!!” says Kevin Keithan, co-owner of Protocol Cigars.
The regular price for attending the pool party will be $200. That will include the bundle of PPPY2, Pool Party Swag, Protocol gators, with all you can eat food and a top-shelf open bar! However, those who buy before March 31st, 2021 will get the early bird pricing of $150.
