Dunbarton is Planning a Bento Box

October 24, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Dunbarton is planning a Bento Box. Earlier this week, in a discussion on Facebook, Steve Saka said that he’s planning a Bento Box. Not an Asian inspired cigar line, but simply a sampler of limited edition Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust cigars that Saka is planning to release in 2021.

What the cigars are that come with the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Bento Box is yet unknown. Well, not to Steve Saka, but he did not reveal anything more than mention there will be a sampler with that name. Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust only does a handful of limited releases and store-exclusive cigars as Steve Saka reblends every single cigar he releases as an exclusive. It is impossible to do that more than a few times each year. We did a review of the Sin Compromiso El Amsterdammer, the exclusive for Cigaragua in Amsterdam.

Bento Box

The Bento Box comes from Japan. The origin can be found in the 12th century. It was a way to bring food to work for Japanese workers. Since then the concept developed to the very popular Bento Box hype we know now. In the last few years, these small containers with separate compartments for different foods became popular all over the world.

When the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Bento Box is going to be available to retailers is yet unclear. If this is exclusive to the American market or if international distributors such as Puros Asia and Longfiller company can order them is also a question yet to be answered. Time will tell, but since cigars from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust scored high in the top 25 of 2019 and 2020, we can’t wait to get our hands on a sampler.
