La Casa exclusive San Cristobal sightings. The San Cristóbal de La Habana 20 Aniversario is about to become available in Switzerland. It will be the first country to receive the La Casa del Habano exclusive cigars. The rest of the world, excluding the United States, will follow soon.
The cigars come in a size with the factory name Capuleto. It is a 6⅜x52 parejo cigar. The cigars come in special 20 count boxes. The boxes look like old-fashioned treasure chests with a round lid. These are going to be hard to store for collectors that love to play Tetris in their humidors.
San Cristobal de la Habana
It is the second time that Cubatabaco and Habanos create a cigar of this specific size. The first time is the 2013 Romeo y Julieta De Luxe Edicion Limitada.
Even though the cigar is now finally available, it is part of the 2019 Habanos program. The cigar was introduced at the Habanos Festival in February 2019 as the 20th anniversary of the San Cristobal de la Habana brand. But it not just celebrates 20 years of San Cristobal de la Habana but also 500 years of Havana. The original name of the city is San Cristobal de la Habana.
Before the 1959 revolution by the socialist Castro brothers that led to the nationalization of the cigar industry, there was a brand called San Cristobal de la Habana. The current brand is not related to the old, discontinued, San Cristobal de la Habana marca.
