Principle Cigars is Hosting a Cigar Week in Belgrade

Principle Cigars is hosting a cigar week in Belgrade, Serbia. An intimate, personally-curated cigar and epicurean experience arranged by Darren Cioffi from Principle Cigars. And it promises to be something spectacular with plenty of unique cigars. But also with great Serbian food, wine, pairings with cigars, and more sensory experiences.

The packages

Principle Cigars offers several packages. None of the packages include airfare, transport to Belgrade is not part of the deal. All the packages are based on single occupancy and discounts apply to double occupancy. Until February 20th, there is an early bird discount.

If you provide your own accommodation, joining the experience for the cigars and food, the price is $1500 with a $200 discount for the early birds. The first package is $1980 with a $200 discount for early birds and includes everything on the itinerary plus six nights at the Boutique Hotel Museum. The hotel offers free breakfast and spa access. 

The second package is $2100 with a $200 discount for the early birds. This includes six nights at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade. It includes daily breakfast and all the Hyatt luxuries. Most events are a short taxi-ride away from the hotel.

The itinerary

On Tuesday, March 23, the attendees meet at a cozy French wine bar to enjoy foie gras and other French hors d’oeuvres. There is exclusive French wine and a preview of the unreleased Principle Cigar Martinique. The next day is about Serbian food, wine, and an award-winning Serbian spirit called ‘Spirit of Life!”. The best description is fruit brandy. There will be a four-course dinner experience that compliments the Accomplice Corojo Churchill. And this cigar has been aging since 2013.

Thursday is more about the Servian culture with a Serbian lunch. During the lunch, attendees smoke the Frothy Monkey Corona Gorda. Serbian beers and wine are available during lunch. Dinner is taking place in a Michelin star restaurant with a focus on domestic cuisine. The cigar that’s in the spotlight during dinner is a pre-release of the Aviator Escopette.

Friday is cocktail day. It’s the official launch of the Principe Cocktail Collection. Five different cigars to pair with cocktails from five different historical periods. It is a bar-hopping day, where attendees visit two restaurants, a cocktail bar, a cigar lounge, and a must-visit drinkery.

The weekend

Saturday is an early day with a visit to a premier Serbian vineyard. The vineyard has a history dating back to 1903. The new Principle Toro Especial will pair with the different wines from the winery. The in-house chef will create a beautiful lunch. The gala event takes place at night. It is dubbed The Aviator Dinner. Multiple unobtainable Aviator cigars are part of the package.

A wonders Balkan restaurant is the venue for the Sunday brunch with a private blend as the accompanying cigar. There will be wine, both red, wine, and sparkling. The dinner is modern European cuisine with a vintage European cigar.
