Belgium is getting La Galera
Belgium is getting La Galera. The Dominican cigars from Jochy Blanco will arrive on April 1st. And no, that’s not an April fools joke. The Belgian cigar distributor Central American Trading will introduce the cigars to the Belgian cigar enthusiasts on that day. Two blends, both in two sizes.
La Galera
La Galera is a tribute to the grand room in each and every cigar factory. But mostly to the decades-old Tabacalera La Palma. Jochy Blanco is the fourth or fifth generation Blanco in charge of Tabacalera La Palma. Even though the company was founded dec in 1936, the Blanco Family is involved in the Dominican tobacco industry since 1925
Central American Trading is introducing the La Galera Habano and La Galera Maduro. Both in two sizes. The 5×50 Chalet and the 6×52 El Lector. Both blends and all sizes come in boxes of 10 cigars.
The blends
The La Galera Habano comes with a Habano wrapper from Ecuador. Blender Jochy Blanco chooses Dominican Corojo as a binder. The filler is a mixture of Dominican tobacco, with Piloto Cubano, criollo 98, and Pelo de Oro. Blanco attaches great importance to the quality of the tobacco and the processing of the tobacco.
The La Galera Maduro has a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper over Dominican tobaccos. This creates a medium to full-bodied cigar. Belgium is getting La Galera in both blends.
