More Illusione for Norway
More Illusione for Norway. The official Illusione importer and distributor Nordic Cigars is expanding the portfolio of Dion Giolitto’s brand again. The cigars are very popular and Nordic Cigar has been adding sizes to its range continuously over the last year. And now, even more, making it easier for Norwegian cigar enthusiasts to get their hands on the boutique brand.
New arrivals
Nordic Cigars adds the 888 Candela to its portfolio. That means that the full range of the 888 is now available. Dion Giolitto recently spent two hours on a Cigarissimo zoom gathering talking about Candela wrappers. Cigarissimo is a Norwegian cigar group with weekly zoom gatherings. We are a guest of the show this coming Tuesday. Another vitola that is available in all three versions is the ~HL~. This is a 7½x40 Lancero.
The OneOff line gets larger with the +53, a 5¾x48 Robusto. The Cruzado Short Robusto, 33 Ninfas, Haut Ten Toro are coming as well. And the Illusione Rothchildes CT is the latest of the current batch of new Illusione for Norway.
The factories
Most of these cigars come from Nicaragua, from the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. factory. This factory is better known as TABSA and is part of Aganorsa Leaf. Most of the tobacco comes from Aganorsa Leaf as well. Aganorsa is the owner of Casa Fernandez cigars and makes many private labels. Other famous brands coming from that factory are Viaje, Warped, Condega, Foundation Cigars, and some Gurkha lines.
The rest of the cigars come from Honduras. The first Illusione cigars came from Raices Cubanas, the factory best known for their work with Alec Bradley. But Dion Giolitto moved most of the production to Nicaragua, yet some lines still come from Raices Cubanas.
