AJ Fernandez expands New World internationally

July 20, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

AJ Fernandez expands New World internationally. The international markets are getting three new New World Cigars. But the cigars aren’t actually all new vitolas. These were already available in the United States. But they are recent additions, all introduced in the last few months.

Connecticut & Oscuro

The new sizes for the international markets are the Double Corona and Toro Redondo in the New World Oscuro line. The New World Connecticut Churchill is also available for the international importers and distributors for A.J. Fernandez cigars.

“I am particularly excited to be able to add the new World Oscuro Toro in the Redondo (rounded) format. This cigar as a box press is one of our bestsellers and the rounded version will be a welcome addition for many of the brands’ fans around the globe”, says Steven Kron, International Sales Director at A.J. Fernandez Cigars. The Toro Redondo was a limited edition for the TAA at first, before becoming a regular production cigar.

The blends

The New World Oscuro is a Nicaraguan puro. The wrapper comes from Esteli. The binder hails from the northern farms in Jalapa. The filler comes from Esteli, Condega, and the volcanic island of Ometepe. The New World Connecticut uses a Connecticut-grown Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Mexican binder. The filler comes from Nicaragua and Brazil. The cigars are made at Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez Cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua.

The New World Connecticut Churchill comes in boxes of 10 cigars. The New World Oscuro Toro Redondo comes in boxes of 20. And the New World Oscuro Double Corona has 21 cigars in a box. The cigars will be available for international A.J. Fernandez Cigars accounts this month.
