New Asylum 13 cigars coming
New Asylum 13 cigars coming. The cigar company of Christian Eiroa and Tom Lazuka is releasing two new cigars later this year. Or three actually. But two will be different sizes of the same blend. All three cigars are available in a small batch. The expected release date for all three is quarter three of this year.
Asylum 9
When Asylum Cigars hit the 7-year mark, the company created a limited edition Asylum Seven in a 7×70 and an 11/18 size. The 7×70 vitola is the cigar that put Asylum on the market when other brands were still struggling with a 60 ring gauge cigar. The 11/18 is an Eiroa family vitola. It is a Figurado and the name is the birthday of Christian Eiroa’s mother. Coincidentally, a review of the Asylum Seven 11/18 is scheduled for this Friday.
Last year, Lazuka and Eiroa went on repeat. Again a limited edition to celebrate Asylum Cigars. Again these two iconic vitolas but now under the name Asylum 8. This year is no different, with 1000 boxes of 20 split amongst the two sizes. Each cigar comes in its own coffin. Both are Honduran puro cigars from the CLE Cigar Factory.
April fools
In the final days of March, a poster from Asylum emerged on social media. The announcement of a new cigar with a whooping 9×90 size. Of course, it was an April fools joke but oddly enough the result was a demand for this cigar. So Lazuka and Eiroa came to the conclusion that they had to make this cigar. But only as a small batch, not as a regular production cigar.
Later this year the first 9×90 Honduran Puro will hit the markets. The cigars come from the rolling tables of the CLE Cigar Factory in Danli, Honduras. This is not the biggest cigar from a reputable cigar factory in modern history. RoMa Craft once released a limited edition CroMagnon Femur in a 10×133 size but that is almost a decade ago.
