New packaging for Puro Especial
New packaging for Puro Especial. The New World Puro Especial cigars will get a new look and feel when the current stock of boxes is gone. A.J. Fernandez is redesigning the boxes for better brand continuity. The New World Puro Especial boxes will come in the same dress boxes as the other New World blends. Those are the New World Connecticut, New World Cameroon, and the New World Oscuro. Up to now, the New World Puro Especial came in flashy red boxes. They did stand out in a humidor but were inconsistent with the other New World offerings from AJF Cigars.
New World Cigars
The New World Series saw the light in 2014. Ismael Fernandez, the father of A.J. Fernandez was working for the Plasencia family for almost 20 years. After his retirement, his son Abdel asked him to work with him on a project. That project was New World. A tribute to cigars not coming from Cuba.
Since 2014, three other blends came out using the New World name. Those are the New World Connecticut, New World Puro Especial, and the New World Cameroon. The Puro Especial has always been the odd one out. In the packaging, and in the blend. It uses only Nicaraguan tobacco. But all from the region of Esteli, instead of a mixture of different regions. That makes it a very special cigar. All the tobacco in the New World Puro Especial comes from farms that are owned and run by A.J. Fernandez himself. Even though the packaging is changing, to be an integral part of the New World line of cigars, the blend remains unchanged.
