July 19, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Fratello Cigars ventures into beer. Fratello Beer will be available in close to 20 Total Wines Stores in Northern Virginia and Louisiana from June 15th. The Fratello Beers are a collaboration between Fratello and the Adroit Theory Brewery in Purcellville, VA. it is not the first collaboration between the brewery and Omar de Frias. In 2019, they made Terminal Descent, an Imperial Stout. Last year there was a Fratello Hazy India Pale Ale.

Three beers

“This is a project that has been in the works for quite some time. Following the success of our smaller projects Terminal Descent back in 2019 and the Fratello Hazy IPA in 2020 we knew this was going to be an ongoing initiative for us” says Omar de Frias in a press release.

Classico IPA is a golden American IPA where the bitterness is balanced and imparts an alluring blend of resin and citrus flavors. The presentation is 16 Oz. Cans 4-Packs/24-case) ABV:6.1%

Oro Mexican Lager, Clean and refreshingly crisp lager. Made with flaked maize for maximum smoothness and no bitterness. The presentation is 16 Oz. Cans 4-Packs/24-case) ABV:4.5%

Imperiale Hazy IPA, This fresh take on a New England style IPA uses lactose to produce a creamy malt body with minimal bitterness and tropical sweetness. The presentation is 16 Oz. Cans 4-Packs/24-case) ABV:8.1%

“We set out to make a craft beer to pair with our cigars. This resulted in controlling the hops, bitterness, and sour taste of our beers that tend to offset a great pairing.” De Frias continues.

“We are proud to partner with Omar and the Fratello Team in this new project. Their team and ours created a great synergy where we challenged each other’s palates in creating three beautiful styles of beer,” says Mark Osborne Owner of Adroit Theory.
