Ricardo Carioni joins Tor Imports. Tor Imports is the leading importer and distributor of New World cigars in the United Kingdom. Carioni is the new Chief Operating Officer for the company.

Experience 

This will be the first job in the cigar industry for Carioni, but he’s very familiar with the cigar culture. He is co-founder and chairman of the Diplomatic Cigar Club. That is an international cigar club for diplomats from all over the world. It also reveals a bit of the background of Nicaraguan-born Carioni. 

To join the Tor Imports family, Carioni has to step down as the deputy ambassador of Nicaragua to the UK, Ireland, and Iceland. That’s a position he had for over five years. In that role, he did everything he could to support the cigar industry on a diplomatic level. He’s also the director of the Latin American Trade and Investment Association. But he lived and worked all over the world. From Miami to Singapore, from Spain to Italy, from the Canary Islands to Dallas. But since 2016, he’s living in London, UK.

Growing presence
