Cavalier Genève releases new cigars
Cavalier Genève releases new cigars. At the PCA Convention & Trade Show next month in Las Vegas, Cavalier Genève will be releasing two new cigars. The Cavalier Genève Limited Edition and the Cavalier Genève Prospektor.
Limited Edition
This year marks the fourth year of the annual Cavalier Genève Limited Edition. And there’s a pattern noticeable. The 2018 version was a 4¾x58 cigar with a box pressing, while 2019 was the same vitola but round. In 2020, Cavalier Genève went with a 6×54 toro, with a box-pressing, and guess what? The 2021 edition is the same vitola, but round.
Since the blend is a company secret, it is not clear whether the blend is the same and it’s only a matter of pressing or not. There are 1650 boxes of 10 cigars available, of this 1100 boxes will go to the United States. The cigars will be on the shelve of retailers in July.
Prospektor
Another new cigar for Cavalier Genève is the Prospektor. Some cigar enthusiasts may remember the name as Cavalier Genève made a cigar with that name before. That was a single retailer exclusive cigar, the new Prospektor isn’t. And the blend is different.
The Cavalier Genève Prospektor is a 6×54 Toro with two different wrappers from Jalapa, Nicaragua. The two different wrappers create a barber pole appearance. The binder is Nicaraguan over filler from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Paraguay.
The Prospektor will come in boxes of 40, with the option for retailers to order refill bundles containing 20 cigars. The Premium Cigar Association Convention & Trade Show will have the premiere of the cigar, although retailers won’t receive it until later this year.
