Fratello Cigars is releasing The Texan

July 18, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Fratello Cigars is releasing The Texan. For the last two years, the Fratello The Texan was exclusively available for retailers in the lone star state. But Omar de Frias thinks it’s time to let the rest of the world enjoy this cigar as well.

At the PCA Convention & Trade Show, which will start in 2 days, retailers and international partners of Fratello Cigars, will get the chance to order the Fratello The Texan, whether they are Texas-based or not.

Dominican Fratello

The Fratello The Texan is a big and thick cigar. 7⅛x58 because everything is bigger in Texas. The cigar is made in the oldest cigar factory outside of Cuba. That’s the Dominican Tabacalera La Aurora. It is one of the two production partners for Fratello, the other one is the oldest factory in Nicaragua, Joya de Nicaragua.

The cigar is made with an Ecuadorian HVA Wrapper. The binder is Sumatra, although it’s not specified from which country. There are four different tobaccos in the filler. Ligero from Pennsylvania, USA, and Esteli, Nicaragua. And then there is Dominican Andullo, and Dominican Piloto Cubana Ligero.

The Fratello The Texan comes in boxes of 20 cigars, with an MSRP of $11 per cigar before tax.
