A unique Habanos jar for Italy
A unique Habanos jar for Italy. Dedicated to the XV Encuentro Amigos de Partagás. 200 of these numbered jars, each with 25 Romeo y Julieta Cazadores. The Cazadores is a 6⅜x43 Lonsdale. This classic size is a pre-revolution size that’s still being made. The artwork of the jar is in the classic colors of the Romeo y Julieta Nramds with golden decorations and the logo of the XV Encuentro Amigos de Partagás en Italia in the center. The Romeo y Julieta brand gets its name from the famous novel by William Shakespeare. The story takes place in Verona, Italy, so that this marca is chosen for an Italian exclusive release seems more than fitting.
The jars are available in Italian La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist stores. But for Habanos collectors outside of Italy, it will be hard to find them. There are only 200 available, and Italian regulations forbid Italian retailers to ship cigars internationally. The jars were made especially to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Encuentro Amigos de Partagás in Italy organized by the Cigar Club Don Alejandro Robaina of Matelica (MC). The exclusive distributor of Habanos in Italy, Diadema S.p.A., took care of manufacturing the jars.
Small batch jar releases
It is not uncommon for exclusive Habanos distributors to create jars just for their territory. Tabacalera, the Spanish Habanos distributor, has two annual Jar releases. The Sevilla series and the Collecion Vintage. Top Cigars and Cigar Clan create unique Jars celebrating Russian art for the Russian market. Pacific Cigar Company, the Habanos distributor for Asia Pacific had three jars to commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations between Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, and China. And that’s just a few examples.
