Reinado Releasing Connecticut Shade Wrapped Cigar
Reinado is releasing a Connecticut Shade wrapped cigar later this year. The Reinado C29. The only thing known about the cigar is the Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, as Reinado refuses to comment on the binder and filler. The Reinado C29 is a 5×52 Robusto, made at an undisclosed factory.
“This wrapper, along with the entire blend, gave me a difficult time through the blending process,” Antonio Lam told cigar media. “It took me 29 iterations of the blend to arrive at the final product. I am, by nature, a very harsh critic when it comes to blending.”
The wrappers Lam tried at first didn’t work with the rest of the blend, the flavour, oils and aesthetics didn’t pass Lam’s quality control.. “Once the wrapper was what I wanted, it was blended with various high priming filler and binder combinations until the 29th version where I finally found the flavour profile I was envisioning,” Lam say, adding that the tobaccos used in the blend are at least 8 years old..
“We are extremely excited about adding the C29 to the Reinado portfolio as it uses tobaccos that we have never used before and feel they are delivering a very unique flavour profile and experience when undergoing the blending process I put them through.”
