Drew Estate’s Director of International Sales is Retiring
Drew Estate’s director of International Sales, David Salem, is retiring. After a career of more than 40 years in the tobacco industry, Salem is saying farewell to the working force to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. He entered the tobacco industry in 1980 as the director for Douwe Egberts Van Nelle Canada. Douwe Egberts Van Nelle is a Dutch producer of rolling tobacco. Around the turn of the industry, Salem was also the president USA for the Dutch cigar manufacturer Royal Agio Cigars before moving on to Altria subsidiary John Middleton Co as International Sales Director until 2010.
After two years retirement, Jonathan Drew managed to convince Salem to make a come-back. He has been the Director of International sales for Drew Estate since, and also for Swisher International after the latter purchased Drew Estate. But now, after a career of 40+ years in the industry it’s time to say goodbye. Christopher Turco, another industry veteran, will take over the responsibilities of David Salem.
