Espinosa Premium Cigars Celebrate Their 10th Anniversary

July 13, 2022 Billie 2 min read

Espinosa Premium Cigars and its factory, Tabacalera La Zona, were founded In 2012. That means time for a 10th anniversary cigar made with a Brazilian escuro alto wrapper atop a Nicaraguan binder and filler. There are only 300 boxes of 30 cigars, 6×52 Toro sized, made.

“Everything about this cigar is a tribute, from the cigar blend to the box design and the band,” said Héctor J. Alfonso, director of operations for Espinosa Premium Cigars, who called them “throwbacks to when the company first started out.” “Both the company and the factory have succeeded jointly and individually. We believe it is only fair that both of us can celebrate this milestone together,” he said in a press release.

So that means that there is a second anniversary cigar, the Espinosa 10 Years Anniversary.  “Erik isn’t big about his industry milestones, but me and Erik Jr. are, so we wanted to make yet another special cigar, to celebrate the company’s 10th year in the industry,” Alfonso said.

The Espinosa 10 Years Anniversary is also a 6×52 Toro and it’s made with all Nicaraguan tobacco at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua. Production is limited to 1,500 boxes of 20 cigars, a total run of 30,000 cigars. “It is hard to believe that it has already been 10 years,” said Erik Espinosa in a press release. “We have come such a long way from where we first started; in a little 800 square foot warehouse, without a single cigar to sell, but here we are. I am very proud of what my team and I have been able to accomplish.”
