La Sirena is expanding the Mexican Mermaid line with a 4×54 Petit Robusto. This was after customers kept requesting a 45 minute cigar in the Mexican Mermaid line. And so La Sirena went to Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic to work on this format with the exact same blend as the rest of the line. That means a Mexican San Andres wrapper and binder, with filler from Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

“It’s just a good, short smoke that packs the power quicker,” Ditkowich says about the new cigar.. “It’s still medium to full-bodied, but it just gets to full quicker,” he added. The new addition is the fifth in the series and will only have the secondary band that is used on the rest of the series, the large La Sirena thing is missing. The cigars will also come in boxes of 25 instead of 20 like the rest of the series.
