Pappy & Co. is Getting Another Exclusive Cigar
The company, which is the Pappy van Winkle merchandise company owned by the Van Winkle family, is getting the Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented Corona Viva made by Drew Estate. It is a 5¾x46 Corona Gorda in the original Pappy van Winkle cigar blend.
The original blend has two wrappers, a Mexican San Andres and a Kentucky Tapa Negra. Underneath is a Nicaraguan binder and filler from Nicaragua and Kentucky. The Kentucky leaves are fire cured and barrel aged.
“Both the Van Winkle family and Drew Estate built their reputations on being painstakingly committed to producing artisanal, high-quality and handcrafted products,” says Carrie Van Winkle Greener, co-founder of Pappy & Company, in a press release. “Our shared passion for those traditions stands at the centre of every Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented cigar, and the new Corona Viva format extends and deepens our mutual legacy for producing authentic, handcrafted and high-quality products.”
