Illusione Releases Allegria

Illusione releases Allegria, a sister line to the OneOff series. The cigars are Nicaraguan puros made at the Aganorsa Leaf Factory and are a bit stronger than the OneOff.

“The blend still uses Corojo ’98 and Corojo ’99 Nicaraguan tobaccos, but headier and fuller bodied, with a nice fennel-like snap to them on the finish,” Giolito says While the Corojo ’99 wrapper is the same leaf used on OneOff, some of the tobaccos in Allegria are from higher primings on the plant.

The history of the brand lays in Italy. Andrea Molinari was the owner of the La Casa del Habano in Milan and wanted a cigar brand of his own. He tried to get a Cuban cigar made, but failed. He then turned to Plasencia cigars to make the OneOff in 2001 and three years later he released the follow up Allegria. In 2017 Illusione bought the trademarks and released the OneOff in 2018, and now the Allegria.
