Davidoff Releasing Year of the Rabbit in 2023

Davidoff is releasing the next instalment for their annual celebration of the Chinese zodiac calendar, the year of the rabbit. 6500 boxes of 10 will be released for the USA, the number of boxes for the international markets have not been disclosed.

The Year of the Rabbit is a 6×54 Perfecto with an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Mexican binder and filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

The  French artist Rose Saneuil designed a humidor for the same occasion as well with a striking red marquetry rabbit on the lid, an intricate inlay composed of wood and tobacco leaf. The exterior of the humidor is made of walnut while the interior consists of anigre wood. The humidor contains 88 Year of the Rabbit Gran Toros, which measure 6 by 56 but have the same blend as the Perfecto. There will be 25 humidors only.

Davidoff Flagship stores will get a limited amount of the Gran Toro cigars as well for retail outside of the humidor. There are 600 boxes of 24 Gran Toros available worldwide.
