Selected Cigars Brings New Byron Blend
Selected Cigars is releasing a new Byron blend, the Byron 1850. The blend consists of fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua under a Peruvian binder and Ecuadorian wrapper. According to Selected Cigars, the finished product has been aged in both cedar and French oak. The story is that Selected Tobacco ages all their cigars in a cedar-lined room for a minimum of two years, but this is the second blend that gets an additional aging in a room with French oak, inspired by the wine industry. The Byron 1850 will come in six sizes, with a 5×50 Robusto as the smallest one and a 9¼x55 as the biggest size. Other sizes are 6×58, 6×52, 7×56 and 8×54.![]()
