Santa Damiana 30 Aniversario – A Peerless Special Edition for the Brand’s 30th Anniversary

This year, Santa Damiana celebrates its 30^th anniversary by offering aficionados a very special edition that proposes, for the first time, a premium selection of three emblematic vitolas, one from each decade of the brand.

The first one, which pays hommage to the decade from 1992 to 2002, is a “Mareva Gruesa”, a 4½x44  cigar ideal to enjoy all the flavour of Santa Damiana in a short period of time. The second decade, from 2002 to 2012, proposes a “Robusto Extra”, a timeless vitola with the classic 50-ring gauge of the Robusto but with an extra length of 5 5/8 Inches. The last one, representative of the 2012 to 2022 decade, is an iconic cigar of our times, a “Gran Toro”, a long thick-ring gauge cigar (6×54) finished with an attractive pigtail.

All these vitolas, which are not present in the brand’s standard portfolio, have been hand-made with a careful selection of tobacco leaves from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Ecuador that have been aged for three years before rolling the cigars, giving as a result a pleasant smoke with woody, toasted and sweet notes.

Santa Damiana 30 Aniversario is presented in an elegant wooden box with a design in gold, that contains those 3 vitolas finely dressed with the brand’s cigar band, with an additional one decorated with the brand’s 30^th anniversary logo, and with a blue ribbon on their feet.

This limited edition will be available worldwide in limited quantities.

Born in Cuba at the beginning of the 20th century as a prestigious brand specially created for the sophisticated English market, it was in the year 1992 when the first Santa Damiana cigars as we know them nowadays started to be elaborated in the Dominican Republic, in the famous factory Tabacalera de García, where other worldwide known brands as VegaFina or Don Diego are produced. The brand, which is nowadays present in more than 20 countries worldwide, offers a wide choice of vitolas ideal for different smoking occasions.

• Wrapper: medium brown colour, silky and shiny.
• Strength: mild to medium.
• Aroma: woody and toasted with a sweet reminiscence of cedar, cacao, raisins and vanilla.
• Taste: toasted and earthy, with light mineral notes and a sweet aftertaste with hints of cacao, coffee, ripe fruits and molasses.
• Draw:
• Burning: very good, even and homogeneous during the whole smoke.
• Ash: medium grey colour with light grey seams, compact and stable.
