Alec Bradley Releasing Annual St. Patrick’s Day Limited Edition Next Week
Alec Bradley is releasing their annual St. Patrick’s Day limited edition again next week. And again, there will be two different cigars, both with the green Candela tobacco, released. The Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan with a Honduran Candela and Nicaraguan Habano wrapper and the Filthy Hooligan Shamrock, which adds a darker Nicaraguan Habano Maduro to the mix to make it a three wrapper barberpole. The filler and binder in the same for both cigars, with an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and filler from Panama and Honduras.
Both the cigars come in a 6×50 Toro with high quality Candela wrapper. “We only use choice candela,” second generation cigarmaker Bradley Rubin said. “Barber Pole and Shamrock remain limited editions because the bright green tobacco we use needs to be consistent every year. . . a little-known fact: Shamrock was actually my first project at Alec Bradley.”

Production is limited to 2,000 boxes of 24 cigars for the Barber Pole Toro, 1,500 boxes of 10 for the Shamrock.
This marks the 11th release of Filthy Hooligan, though the eighth release of the barber-pole versions (the first three years were all-candela), and the fifth release of the Shamrock. Both cigars are made by the Plasencias at the Tabacos de Oriente factory in Danlí, Honduras.
