ATL to Release New Line Wise Blood at TPE Show Next Week
ATL is releasing a new line, Wise Blood, at the TPE Show next week. The line is inspired by the Wise Blood novel by Flannery O’Connor. The company describes it as the story of a Southern veteran in the mid-20th century who struggles to reconcile his convictions and deep faith with his lived experience.
“Flannery O’Connor and her Southern Gothic portfolio have had a profound influence on me,” said Leroy Lamar, president of ATL Cigar Co., via a press release. “Wise Blood, in particular, helps me wrestle with faith, race, my relationships with my co-founders, and frankly, my place in this world. We are proud to create a cigar that reflects these deep questions and commemorates such an important work and author.”
The cigars are made at the Luciano Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua with an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado HVA wrapper over a Connecticut binder from Ecuador. The filler is all Nicaraguan. There will be a Lonsdale, robusto, robusto extra, and a gordito available. Luciano will also distribute the ATL cigars.
“Our partnership with ATL Cigar Co. continues from strength to strength, harnessing both companies’ commitment to community and to finding one’s purpose,” said Luciano Meirelles, via a press release. “We dedicate the Wise Blood blend to every aficionado who uses the cigar to contemplate deeper questions and to investigate the nuances that emerge in intimate conversation.”
