Luciano Cigars to Distribute Dalay Cigars in the United States, Introduces Two New Dalay Lines
Salih Dalay is the owner of Dalay Zigarren, a cigar shop and a cigar distributing country in Germany. Every year, Dalay releases a cigar under his own label. Dalay is the distributor of Luciano Cigars in Germany, and now the ties between the two will be even stronger as Luciano Cigars will be distributing Dalay in the United States as well and he is producing one of the two new Dalay lines.
The cigar Meirelles makes for Dalay is called Dalay Nicaragua and it’s a regular production line. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Corojo 98 over a double binder. One of the binders is Ecuadorian Habano 2000 while the other is Brazilian Arapiraca. The filler is all Nicaraguan. There will be a Corona Gorda, Robusto, Toro and Gran Toro, and all will come in boxes of 20 cigars.
The second cigar is made in the Dominican Republic, at the Zaubergberg factory. The Dalay Istanbul pays tribute to Salih’s Turkish heritage and to further enhance the Turkish connection it Turkish tobacco is used in the filler alongside Kentucky tobacco and Dominican leaves. The binder is Pennsylvania Broadleaf with an Ecuadorian Corojo ’99 wrapper.
The Dalay Istanbul comes in a Principe, robusto and toro size and has a reproduction of a paining of Istanbul on both the bands and the boxes. The production is limited to 1500 boxes of 10 cigar, of which 500 are allocated to Germany and 1000 boxes are for the American market.
