EPC Cigar Co. Announce New EPC Short Run for 2023

July 12, 2023 Inspector Y 2 min read

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s return as an independent cigar manufacturer in 2010 started with the short run, a series of small batches. The project was put on ice in 2016, only to return in 2021, and now there will be a new EPC Short Run. Unlike the previous versions, the cigars won’t be made at EPC’s La Alianza factory in Santiago, DR but at Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co in Honduras. The blend, made by Ernesto, consists of an Ecuador Havana wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler from both Nicaragua and Honduras.

“Working together with Don Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has been a formidable experience and a great honour for us, and it fills us with satisfaction to have used tobacco from Copan, Honduras,” says Oscar Valladares. “This tobacco has filled us with satisfaction and has been a fundamental part of our history and one of my favourites.”

“Crafting this blend at Oscar Valladares’ factory with his team is a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation,” says Perez-Carrillo. “Our 2023 Short Run is a tribute to the timeless character of this unique tobacco, brought to life with a modern touch.”

There will be three sizes, a robusto, toro and Gordo and all come in boxes of 24. The production is limited to 1250 boxes of the robusto, 1250 boxes of the toro and 625 boxes of the Gordo.
