Reimagining Tradition: Alec Bradley Unveils The Post Embargo Blend Code B15, A Bold Evolution Of A Classic Cigar

August 30, 2023 Inspector L 2 min read

Alec Bradley discontinued the Post Embargo a while ago, but soon there will be a new Post Embargo, the Post Embargo Blend Code B15. The cigar has a different blend and a bolder look than the discontinued original. According to Scandinavian Tobacco Group, the new owners of the Alec Bradley brand, the Post Embargo Blend Code B15 is “an entirely new, full-time expression.”

The new blend has a Honduran wrapper, two Honduran binders, one Corojo and one Criollo with filler from Nicaragua and Honduras. Even though Scandinavian Tobacco Group has their own factories, the Post Embargo Blend Code B15 is made at Raices Cubanas, the factory that made almost all original Alec Bradley lines when the company was still family-owned.

“We instinctively felt it was the right time to revisit the post-embargo concept from a fresh, new perspective because the brand resonates so well in the category,” says brand ambassador Bradley Rubin. “New world cigars are where it’s at, and this brand celebrates how we and other new world brands have taken our rightful place on the global stage.”

The cigars, packed in paint-spattered milk crates, come in a 5×52 Robust, 6×52 Toro and a 6×60 Gordo. The boxes contain 24 pig-tailed cigars.
