Viaje Cigar Company Unveils Thanksgiving Releases: Farmhand Andre and Zombie Farmhand Andre

November 15, 2023 Inspector L 2 min read

Viaje Cigar Company has revealed its Thanksgiving-themed releases for this year, featuring the return of Farmhand Andre and Zombie Farmhand Andre, both slated for shipping this week. Both cigars are named after Viaje founder and owner Andre Farkas.

Farmhand Andre, introduced in 2019, emerged as an offshoot or potential companion to the 2014 debutant Farmer Bill Hatchet. Farmer Bill Hatchet, entwined with the cigar’s backstory, is associated with Viaje’s Thanksgiving releases featuring turkey-themed cigars. The 7 x 52 double robusto vitola of Farmhand Andre shares an undisclosed blend and factory of origin with Farmer Bill Hatchet. The initial release was priced at $11.60 per cigar and $116 for a box of 10.

On the other hand, Zombie Farmhand Andre, introduced in May 2020, predates the Thanksgiving holiday. As part of Viaje’s Zombie line, stemming from the 2011 follow-up to the Skull and Bones WMD and MOAB cigars, the Zombie Farmhand Andre draws inspiration from people transforming into zombies after exposure to radiation from the WMD release. The debut featured a 5 1/2-inch box-pressed robusto with a 54 ring gauge, packaged in 10-count bundles. The blend and factory details for this release remain undisclosed, with the original MSRP at $11 per cigar and $110 for a bundle of 10.

While specifics about this year’s releases are yet to be disclosed by Viaje, founder Andre Farkas mentioned in a social media comment that the cigars maintain the same blend as their previous iterations. Despite an email seeking additional information going unanswered, anticipation surrounds the return of these familiar and flavorful offerings from Viaje.
