New Partagás Línea Maestra Makes Its Debut In Andorra
It’s a rare occasion when Habanos S.A. unveils a completely fresh line for one of its brands. However, last year, the Cuban cigar giant introduced a ground-breaking addition to its Partagás portfolio—a departure from the conventional Partagás offerings. What set it apart? Its distinctive hue of blue.
This week, cigar aficionados in Andorra, a picturesque principality nestled between Spain and France, were treated to the arrival of the new Partagás Línea Maestra. Translating to “master line” in Spanish, this innovative range boasts three regular production sizes, each featuring a 109-style cap and ring gauges spanning from 46 to 56—an entirely novel offering within the Cuban cigar landscape.
Partagás Línea Maestra Maestro (5 1/5 inches, 132mm, x 56 ring gauge)
Partagás Línea Maestra Origen (6 1/12 inches, 154mm, x 46 ring gauge)
Partagás Línea Maestra Rito (6 3/5 inches, 168mm, x 52 ring gauge)
As reported by Maori Tabacs S.A., the esteemed distributor for Andorra, the suggested retail prices in the principality are as follows:
Partagás Línea Maestra Maestro: €66 ($70.80) per cigar
Partagás Línea Maestra Origen: €58 ($62.20) per cigar
Partagás Línea Maestra Rito: €73 ($78.30) per cigar
These cigars are packaged in boxes of 20.
Habanos S.A. described the Línea Maestra as a homage to the unique origin, the legacy of learning and tradition that infuses a Habano with ritual significance, and the master craftsmen who bring forth a masterpiece for aficionados worldwide. This sentiment was expressed in promotional material when the line was unveiled in February 2023.
Unlike most new Cuban cigar releases, which often extend existing lines, the Partagás Línea Maestra follows in the footsteps of the Romeo y Julieta Línea de Oro, introduced in late 2021. Both collections boast packaging distinct from the rest of their respective brands and are available in multiple vitolas—a notable departure from Habanos S.A.’s traditional product launch approach.
